I didn't get to see the game but why wasn't I shocked to see Dave Bush give up 3 runs in the 6th.

April 3 - 5.1 IP, 6 runs, 2 in the 6th inning

April 9 - 5.1 IP, 5 runs, 3 in the 6th inning

April 15 - 6 IP, 3 runs, 0 in the 6th inning

April 23 - 6 IP, 4 runs, 1 in the 6th inning

May 7 - 6 IP, 6 runs, 3 in the 6th inning

total for the year 24 runs 9 in the 6th inning

THANK YOU! What's wrong with a 5th starter that gives you 5 good innings? Yost is doing the same thing with Bush that he did with Wes Obermueller. Can we call this Obermuellering?

The problem is that we effectively have 3 , #5 pitchers right now. Do you propose that Ned never let any of them pitch more than 5 innings?

Perhaps Vargas was worth keeping around and Parra was not ready or Villanueva should have been long relief? There is statistical evidence of what happens when Bush goes past 5. So Yost can either choose to leave him in to start the 6th and give up a few runs and let the bullpen come in with 1 out or he can replace Bush prior to the inning started. It's a difference of 1 or 2 outs so I don't see why it benefits the team to send him back out there...
