I know Pujols has an exceptionally good eye, but it sure seems like whenever he comes up the strike zone shrinks in all directions. Ben's first 2 fast balls were borderline high and on any other batter, may have been called strikes. Its kind of hard to pitch to Pujols when the only way to get a strike is to split the plate in half. Side note.....funny how the cards didnt have trouble with week's popup, doesnt look to be that windy.

The Cardinals announcer made a good point on that pop-up in the first inning. If Hardy chases after it instead on standing on second, he makes the out.

Plus, Pujols has a reletively crouched stance, which shrinks the zone even more.

I think sun was more the issue on that popup. Also, Hardy was covering second on that play when he probably should have been fielding that ball. I think he could have made a play on it.

Good players generally get that treatment. During his huge years you had to throw the ball right down the middle to get a strike against Bonds.
