12 other games today, including the Yankees hosting Tampa Bay. The $200 million Yankees are sending out CARL PAVANO as their Opening Day starter.

Cubs vs Reds should be an interesting series ... I'm turning into a Aaron Harang fan for the day.

 

Philly vs Atl should be a good early series as well.

A-Rod overruns a popup in foul territory, and gets booed before the top of the first is even over...kind of feel bad for the guy.

 

Pavano looked decent in the first inning..even Crawford's leadoff single was on a good pitch that Crawford took the other way. Baldelli got a hold of one, but it didn't carry very well and Matsui hauled it in.

 

I'm interested to see how Kazmir does against the Yankee lineup.

Nobody else on the Yankees even made an effort for that foul ball popup, as if they were setting A-Rod up for failure. It's overcast in NY so I can see how he lost it in the sky.

ESPN just complimented Abreu on not striking out. Only 52 times last year! "He's embarrassed to strike out!" Oops thats was 52 times with the Yankees and 86 with the Phillies. He just won't K!
