Nice that Rickie had a day off to be with his bro on draft day

You don't have an Adam Wainwright. Easily the best gentlemen in all of sports. You don't have the amount of real good old American men like the Cardinals do. Holliday, Wainwright, Skip, Berkman those 4 guys are incredible people

Again, don't be surprised if the Brewers take Wallace. The White Sox, Astros and A's were the main teams he needed to get past to fall to the Brewers.

A few people had Weeks going #12 to the A's.

You can't fault the Brewers for not signing Weeks. They offered him what he wanted, but his dad really wanted him to go to school.

Can't fault that either.

He's only a Junior thou, hope he gets his degree.

There was a reason Weeks dropped to the 8th round in 2005... He was unsignable.

That's not true. As I noted just above Jemile entered the draft fully intending on signing as long as teams met his asking price (upper 6-figures). The Brewers did that, but Jemile's father convinced him to go to Miami.

Nevermind, I don't want to surpress the draft talk. Chat away, but keep in mind there is a chat room as well if you want more of a live person-to-person chat atmosphere.

OK let's do this Jack Z. I haven't followed the prospects much this year, but I'm thinking 6 highschool pitchers with the first 6 picks.

Scratch what i just said. I've made a new Brewers draft pick discussion thread for the top 5 rounds. Use this thread to talk about the draft in any way you see fit, including other team's picks, etc.

I'll hope for a starter who can move up fast.

Ethan Martin emerged as arguably the top prep pitcher by throwing in the low-to-mid-90s this spring with a hammer curveball. It might be the best true curve available in the draft. Prior to this spring, he was considered a better prospect as a power hitting third baseman, as he shared the HR derby crown with Destin Hood at last summer's Aflac game.
