Hey Conteras, here's an idea. Don't let washed up scrubs (Edmonds) and regular scrubs (Fontenot) hit homers off of you.

Gotta love Ozzie. Pulls Danks out after 85 pitches when he's cruising but leaves Contreras in to give up 8 runs in an inning. He makes Ned Yost look like Earl Weaver.

8 runs in the bottom of the 4th for the Cubs, and still only 1 out. Edmonds, Fontenot, and Ramirez have all homered, and everyone else is scoring on singles to right field. When Mike Fontenot -- a smaller, scrappier, crappier Eckstein -- hits a home run, you know your team is divinely blessed. Len Kasper is getting plenty of chances to sound like Kermit the Frog today.

Edit: Edmonds homers again. 9 runs in the 4th.

White Sox get a run back on a Pierzynski single, 10-5. This is starting to remind me of last night's Brewers game.

Have the cubs lost a game at home before?

They have lost eight games at Gum Field this year, including four times to the Brewers.

I know you probably weren't literally seeking an answer, but at least there's kind of a silver lining. Of course, it seems like they've been 'stuck on' 8 home losses for like a month.

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

To further on a silver lining, at least Lou is still trying to make Marmol's arm fall off sometime by August. No clue why he's out there right now.

May 17th against the Pirates to be exact. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

With the bases loaded, Carlos Marmol nearly hits Alexi Ramirez in the back with a pitch, but Ramirez spins out of the way. The pitch gets to the backstop, so a run scores, but Ramirez grounds out on the next pitch. Take one for the team and keep the inning going...ugh.

Cubs lead 11-7 with 2 out in the 9th, and the White Sox have guys on 1st and 3rd after an RBI single. Lou Piniella pulls a Ned and brings in Kerry Wood to "close" the game with a 4 run lead and a win virtually guaranteed. Nothing like unneccesarily burning through your bullpen in a meaningless interleague series when you have a win virtually in the bank. A home run doesn't even tie the game yet.

Edit: Wood gets the strikeout, and the save even though he had a 4-run lead and threw like 5 pitches. Gotta love the save stat.

It takes a special mentality to get a save.

Cubs have lost 8 home games... EIGHT?!. I wish we could play them some more

Why you in a hurry to add to the Cubs win totals at Wrigley? This isn't April, the Cubs got their groove, swerve, attitude, whatever you want to call it on, at Wrigley Field. Chances are the next time to visit Wrigley, it won't be so..........generious to the Brewers.
