I love Ned bringing in T-bow here. This is anti-Yost managing style right here and I kinda like it. The way our pen has been, can you blame him for going to the closer in the 8th?

You don't want D-Bow intentionally throwing balls, he throws enough of them on his own. The way our 'pen is right now, this is the right move to bring in Bow.

Remember at the beginning of the year when our pitching was awesome?

Not at all. Unless you are referring to January 1st - I'll give you that.

Anyone want to wager that Yost will use this series as an excuse to bring back a 13th pitcher?

Way to go, Nedly. I like the move - you need one out to get into the ninth, and it's their toughest hitter. Bring in your top reliever. I don't care if he's the closer. Call up the man most likely to get the job done.

the dugout is to your left, D-Lee.

Nice to get out of that one.

Only 5 pitches! That's great. I just had a flashback to last year in the Metrodome when Turnbow threw 40 pitches, and gave up a walk off homerun to Hunter because Ned left him in too long in the 8th and 9th innings. But, with just 5 pitches, he should be OK. Will sitting in the dugout hurt him?

Wow, it seems like the board was totally in agreement with the move Ned made there bringing T-bow in to go at DLee. And look at the outcome....purely magical.

That away T-bow!!!

Question here. To play the other side. Would walking Lee then having T-Bow go after Ramirez had been the better thing to do? The Cubs would have then only gotten one AB by their best two hitter instead of one. Am I off-base here?

Good job by Derrick coming into an unfamiliar situation and mowing down the best hitter in the lineup. Here's to you, Mr. unnecessarily long haired closer guy.

WHOOOO-HOOOOO!!!

Finally - it's nice to see pitchers go after Lee. He's not unbeatable. He still makes outs 2/3 of the time, and since about June of last year, he's been above-average with great power numbers.

I was very disappointed that Gonzalez danced around the strike zone against him earlier.
