Playoff Ticket Lottery

I remember that last year a playoff ticket lottery was held sometime in September. I assume it will be held after the season ticket owners have a chance to order or decline their tickets. Anyone hear anything about when that will happen this year?

Lottery registration starts tomorrow (Sept 5th) at noon and runs until Sept. 17th at noon.

I wonder how many Cubs fans are entering hoping to get tickets to a possible Brewers-Cubs NLCS. Would have been nice to limit it to WI addresses. but that probably wouldn't have been allowed.

As long as you have a valid email address, you can enter. The lottery is for everybody.

I was also thinking about signing up for the Cub's playoff ticket lottery. If they end up playing the brewers (NLCS), I can go to the game. If they end up playing someone else, I can sell them for a hefty profit to some sap cubs fan.

 

Anyone else with me on this? Lets make a presence at Wrigley in October.

 

Update I just registered for the Cubs playoff ticket lottery... It'll feel good if I'm selected, thereby leaving one less cubs fan out of the stadium to watch the game at home.

I don't remember getting an e-mail last year telling me I lost. Did they send them last year? I was lucky enough to win this year, so I sure hope they make it! I'd obviously hope they make it even if I didn't win, but this adds to it.

I won last year, and failed this year. I'll take that as a proof positive indication that we'll make the playoffs this year, since we didn't last year. That is just a logically sound argument no matter which way you slice it.
