At this point I just want to the Cubs to really tax the Pirates bullpen before we come in. That is probably the best we can hope for. Although they do have Marquis going so the Pirates might at least have a shot.

Yeah, I don't think we're catching the Cubs unless we win at least 5 of 6 against them.

Cubs have only three games left against teams with less than .500 records. But yeah, the Brew Crew missed their golden opportunity in terms of the division to take 3 of 4 or even split at MP last month. (Edit: Or, you know, one lousy win)

 

They're looking tough and workman-like, no doubt. Hopefully the Brewers can meet raise them another Pirates sweep this weekend (!), but I'll take 2 of 3!

Chicago is definitely taking care of business against crappy teams. From here on out though, there schedule is rough. Let's see how they do from here.

Wow the Cubs are winning every way possible. 13-1 their last 14 road games. With how hot they are, there is no shame in the wild card this year. Its just too bad we couldn't have this record last year.

Might be time to add the Rockies to the "Games of interest"; they can pull to within 4.5 with a win tonight.
