OK, so if Ned won't give Gamel a start at 3B, how about giving Lamb one? He can't be any worse than Hall or Counsell.

So with two strikes, batters should swing at pitches they know are balls, just in case the ump blows the call? Again, this is Schroeder's line of thinking and it's how you end up with a career OBP of .281.

Hindsight 20/20, but maybe you wait until the runner is at second to sub in the fast guy. Especially if the fast guy isn't going to be trying to steal, anyway. Experience more importnat than raw talent there.
