I don't understand why middle infielders don't do what koskie did to howard when they steal 2nd a ndslide past while hanging onto the base with one hand. Seems like it'd be almost impossible to catch. The ump looks down and sees the runner off the base with the the fielders glove in between the runner and the base. There's no penalty if caught, is there?

The stop sign was up because Abreu didn't expect there to be a play at the plate.

 

There might've been a play because Carlos was waiting at second to see if the ball would be caught.

 

When the throw went to second, Carlos scored easily.

 

At least thats how I interpreted it.

 

Alright, Let's get this done somehow!!!
