Boy I wish the Brewers were more like the Cubs.
I think fans of just about any other MLB team this year could say that about their team. As hard as it is to say, the Cubs are just good. Point blank period.

If the Cubs hold on to win this, we'll be 1 back obviously. Just a few days ago it was a 2.5 game deficit. It's time for the Brewers to put up or shut up. Play with a sense of urgency that we haven't seen at all this month. We're playing the Pirates. Take advantage of home field!

The Cubs are the best overall team in baseball, IMO, and it's not even really close.

 

The Mets are on their 3rd pitcher of the game already, and it's the top of the 5th in a pretty important series. I saw that the New York media has been really getting on Jerry Manuel for his bullpen usage lately, and this probably won't help. While they definitely want to win this game, it's probably better to see this one as a lost cause and try again tomorrow with a bullpen that's not overworked.

In my mind tonight's game is so big. I'm guessing that it will be a huge boost to the player's psyche tomorrow being 1 game back and playing a team that they are 11-1 against this year as opposed to being 2 back (assuming the Cubs hang on and win tonight)
