Today he hasn't, but there's been baserunners all day long it seems, and his previous outings this yr of falling behind every hitter hasn't really helped that ERA sparkle.

Don't get me wrong, it would be nice to work from ahead in the count, but the last few games he seems to be getting it together a little better. Hes not there yet, but hes getting close.

Well, he wasn't exactly helped this last inning by Koskie's throwing error. Sharpie had to get four outs this inning. Probably two more (Koskie's E-5 arguably botched a double-play) than he should have had to get.

I understand that "sharpie" is your favorite player probably, and I have nothing against him, just saying that if he keeps this up, its not a predictor for future success. To say DD has it completely turned around is false right now imo. He needs to get ahead of hitters on a consistent basis for him to succeed.

Is it too much to ask to score a run from 3rd with less than two outs?

Apparently, yes. Of course, Cirillo's out coming from Brady Clark scores a run. Take the good with the bad. At least we're heading toward a W.

Davis has pitched a 6 innings of shutout baseball, giving up 3 walks and 4 hits. Somehow that's a bad outing and he should be pulled from the starting rotation?

I don't think (at least I hope) that anyone suggested pulling Davis from the starting rotation.

He seems to finally be coming around. Granted, it seems that he's still having some control issues, and luck was definitely on his side today, but great to see him get out of every jam he got in (and we better get him a win today).

As far as seeing Little Ben today, won't happen if he is taking Okha's next start.

Why JDLR on consecutive days?

Edit: I assume they are saving Lehr for multiple innings on Saturday, but isn't Kolb still part of the team.
