Why didn't Tracy pinch hit there? It isn't like Perez is going to on the mound for more than an inning and a hit there could break the game open. That looks like a clear choice to me. Also, 111 pitches for davis in the opener. Since they decided on the 4 man rotation without giving an extra day of rest to the starters I think I would have perfered a lower number but not in the horrible range.

The umps are blind...

clancy, I am tempted to agree. We have like 1000 new camera angles, yet none show how close his foot came.

Still, I have to defer to the Fall League's Questec meeting when we heard that MLB umpires miss strike/ball calls less than 1% of the time. They're right more often than their counterparts in the other professional sports.

C'mon guys..! It's nice to have a great lineup on paper, but it doesn't mean a thing if you can't put the bat on the ball. 9 K's through 5 2/3rds.

Sorry, I can't watch the game. I guess it's okay since he reached 1st on the K. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/happy.gif

The good thing about 9 K's is that Perez had to throw almost 100 pitches in 5 1/3 innings. They made him work all day, and now he's gone.

So...they leave Perez in when a PH could have broke the game open with a single, then pull him after facing 2 batters, both of which he struck out??

Hmm...doesn't seem like the most conventional coaching if you ask me...

Jenks and Prince with 6 k's between them...tough night for the rookie. Still time to turn it around. We've got to get the bats going. Offense is downright ugly tonight other than the Hardy round-tripper.

It's called "Tracyball", and it's also called stupid in most circles.

20% getter chance of scoring atleast 1 run VS. 2/3 of an extra inning from my starting pitcher. Tough call!

No, I'm a little surprised by Lehr too. I'd expect to see him if we were down 7-1. Not 2-1. But he got the job done. Here's hoping we don't see him again...(in other words, the 9 spot comes up this inning...)

Heck I wouldn't be opposed to starting Hart against strong lefties. I know that sounds ridiculous after the first 6 1/2 innings of a season, but it's not like this hasn't been a chronic problem for him his entire career.
