2009 BF.Net Softball Team- Thursday Night League MS-385

It's time once again to think about some Softball. I don't mean in some whack-job, unhealthy, freak-boy kind of way though. I just mean you last season players need to confirm your slot for this upcoming season. This is for the team that I run. Games are at Sijan Field.

Last season was not too good as far as winning goes. In years past, we have always played for fun and looked for equal playing time for all players. This season we will look to have fun of course, but following a different mind set as far as playing time and winning. Being a competitive team is fun. Winning is fun. I'm not saying we'll win the league, but getting only one win over a season sucks.

All players from previous seasons are given priority to return and new players will be welcome to fill roster slots.

 

Roster for the 2009 season will be locked up at 12-14 players. I'll determine a final number shortly, based mostly upon interest.

This season there will be a co-captain. Nick, the Happy Youngster.

Positions will be non rotating for the most part.

Line ups will be determined by the team captains and kept pretty much the same from game to game.

Brewerfan.net jerseys will be required of players. Jerseys are available from this site.

 

Team Registration Fee is $210.00 : Your portion of that is going to be determined by the number of players on the team.

Player/Ball Fees will be due at the first team practice. City of Milwaukee Residents pay $12, non-city of Milwaukee players pay $24. Ball fee will be determined after the recreation department holds the annual captains meeting.

I will be calling players for whom I have a 2008 player card with phone number.

 

All returning players have until 15 January to reclaim their slot on the team.

On 16 January, the roster will open if slots are available and close when the roster has reached capacity.

Individual portions of the team fee are due on 14 February.

I'd like to see to it that all our players have a jersey this season so we look good. Most of the other teams all wear a team shirt.

I don't think that the price listed includes name and number. During our first season we had an arrangement set up for personalization of jerseys but that arrangement may have expired at this point.

Not taken apart. For right now, I decided to close off the Madison forum. Once the team captain (whom ever that will be) starts things up and then lets me know what is going on, we can find out about the Madison forum being reinstalled.

I would like to have our resident shirt expert and fellow teammate (InsomniacInkRoss) design some cool jerseys for us this season. Jamie can add the expense to the player fee so everyone looks the same.

If I have to wear that old Brewerfan shirt, I just might rip the sleeves off. Hated that thing.

Everyone can pick a # and their size.

 

Ross, whaddya say? Can you design something for us? I'm figuring this extra fee for the team jerseys won't be a problem in exchange for us looking half-way decent playing this season?!!
