Dish vs. DirectTV as a Brewer fan (Latest: DISH providing few Brewers games in HD)

All games have been in HD (other than WMLW) here on Directv. The audio was choppy the other night for a little bit but that was fixed. Picture quality has been great

I have posted in other threads, but I am terminating DISH ($90 for my 9 remaining months), and its mainly because of this. Ultimately, DISH has limited bandwidth for HD broadcasts, and the Brewer games have been getting the shaft. There have been 3 so far this year not broadcast in HD. The reps have told me they "don't guarantee broadcasts will be in HD." Well, U-Verse has so I am switching. Its a shame these companies don't take their customers seriously. Each time I called, the reps did not have the proper information supplied to them to even know what channels appear on my grid.

I am also annoyed by DISH's HD absence.. the other day the Brewers were on a channel (444) which has an HD alternative, but the game was shown only in SD. That's ridiculous.

I also complained to Dish about the lack of HD for a couple games and got a lame excuse about them not getting the HD feed from Fox Sports. Hopefully with a bunch of us complaining they will hear us. I'm hoping once NHL and NBA end there will be more bandwidth dedicated to baseball and specifically FSN Wisconsin.

I think you're accurate when pegging that explanation as a lame excuse. From past experience based on reports by Brewerfan members, if the Fox Sports feed is absent, both DISH and DirecTV are affected. And when the problem is fixed, both services manage to start showing the game at just about the same time.

another night of SD from Dish. I dont think I've been able to see but a few games in HD so far this year. I sent in a complaint via email & debating calling them. Might have to make the switch.

Definitely in HD here on Directv. Not trying to rub it in, just wanted to verify that if you choose to switch TV providers you will see the Crew in High Def on Directv
