If they don't take at least 3 in this series we are in some trouble. Need a win in game one to start it off right, would hate to have to win 3 in a row. Suppan, step your game up. Same for you bats.

I like to see about a dozen runs tonight as a means for setting the tone for the whole series.
I think you need to specify who scores those runs. 12-0 Brewers? 9-3 Nationals? 6-6 and the game never ends?

Here's my fear: that the Nats will look to Milwaukee and say, 'hey, they're struggling, let's get 'em."

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

man, that's a formidable 2 thru 6. with slappy legging out a chopper every now and again?

i'm not saying i'd swap Braun & Fielder for any of em, but on paper it looks real nice.

their pitching must be Sandy Guerrero-quality.

The only team with a worse team ERA than Washington is Cleveland, and we saw what kind of an effect the Tribe's pitching had on the Brewer bats. The Nats' bullpen might even be worse than Cleveland's. I type all of this hoping that this post doesn't cause the Nats' bullpen to put up 10 consecutive scoreless innings this series or something.

Just keep the guys off base for Dunn's homers. A few solo shots is one thing, but Nyjer is a pain in the butt and Zimmerman is still solid. I'd be fine just walking Dunn in tough situations...there really isn't much behind him (famous last words).

Let's start a little 7 game streak to get us all believing again so that we can have our hearts broken again in September!

Hey, I'll take that over apathy.

This next week of games is important, not only for the standings, but for the psyche of the team and fans. A poor showing can be demoralizing to everyone. I would think that going 5-2 this week is a must. More then that and I would be happy, but you need to win series against bad teams if you have any hope of the playoffs.

With that said, lets start the week off right, with a win.

Remember what Yoda said:

"Cubs lead to Cardinals. Cardinals lead to dislike. Dislike leads to hate. Hate leads to constipation."

I have to say I like the change in the National's road jerseys, which now have "Washington" across the front...very cool nod to the Senators of old.

Let's see how much of the game I can follow via Brewerfan before the storms hit Madison.

If you still have some hope for at least a decent outcome tonight, stop by the chat.

I don't know if he's a malcontent or has other attitude problems, but Felipe Lopez is becoming one of my favortie guys already. He's simply producing.

ughhh...if Lopez 1. had a healthy leg and 2. didn't slow down, he would've scored...

EDIT: I blame Fischer. He saw Lopez was slowing down, so why'd he send him? Bad call...

OK, no-hitter and shutout are already averted. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

Now, Jeff: for all that is good and holy, please maintain the lead. Please.

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.
