I think it would be a pretty solid addition. The Astros must not have offered him enough.

This would also be a solid addition, depending on price of course.

 

At least early on Melvin is hellbent on improving the pitching staff. A bullpen of Hoffman, Coffey, Hawkins, Vargas, and Stetter is one hell of a bullpen IMO.

I'd like a 2nd lefty, but regardless the 'pen should be pretty solid.

Braddock will be the second lefty (midseasonish), assuming he can stay healty. With that being said I would love the addition of Shouse which has always been one of my favorite brewers.

Villanueva could possibly be a non-tender or trade candidate, I'm guessing.
