taken in the past decade. This isn't the raw flamethrower we usually

I read somewhere awhile back he compares and is one of the best Illinois pitchers since Jake Odorizzi...That got me pretty interested in him. But from what you just wrote I'd say he throws a little bit harder than Jake

I agree they can't let him sit out all summer like Brooks Hall did last summer and needs to be signed ASAP! As for velocity I read a scouting report from his last regular season start and it said he was getting strong as the game progressed and hit 95 3x in the 6th inning... that was from like May 17 or something so if that is dropping I'll still take it lol

Hall was an overslot signing, his contract was held up by MLB. That shouldn't be an issue with Covey at #14.
