Anyone watching Strasburg? Man, thank god I have mlb.tv. Nats stadium is sold out for this game standing room only. The fans were ooohing and aweing every pitch and he looked remarkable in the first inning....

He looked pretty nasty, even got squeezed on that curve ball low in the zone to Neil Walker.

nasty is right, 3 completely dominant strikeouts in the second inning. what a breaking ball combined with the 98 mph fastball. he has been squeezed on several calls. rob dibble thinks it's because the umpire is not used to seeing such a good breaking ball. the nats announcers are gushing, so am i. That curve looks scary good. I'm not usually one to buy into the hype of a rookie ballplayer, but I think this guy can be really special.

Took off work to listen to the draft and watch Strasburg. I am so glad I did. Strasburg is absolutely filthy.

100 mph fastball with movement.... My god.... Oh, his change is at 90 mph.

Incredible. This 21 year-old is the REAL deal. Karstens is pitching well also, and has been squeezed a few more times than Strasburg.

100mph with an 89mph hammer. If he stays healthy he's going to have an amazing career.

His curveball has more velocity than many of our pitcher's fastballs... depressing.

Wow, they are going to authenticate 3 sets of bases for this Strausburg debut. I can see that he is good, but he certainly is riding a ton of hype.

They took him out after 7 innings, with the Nationals-record 14 Ks; and now the Nats radio team says the crowd has grown quiet.
Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

I hadn't seen much of him until tonight so I was a little annoyed at all the hype for a pitcher who had yet to pitch a major league game but after watching tonight I understand. His stuff is just plain nasty.
