OT: 2nd Occasional "Ken Griffey, Jr. Presents Major League Baseball" Party (update: encore event 7/23 - reply #7)

Little shindig at my house, did this a couple years ago and it was a lot of fun. Set up the ol' SNES out on the back deck, drink lots of beer, grill food, and enjoy the gloriousness that is Griffey in the waning hours of a Milwaukee summer night. I'm thinking next weekend, Friday the 25th (7:00-ish), with a makeup date in case of inclement weather set for Saturday the 26th.

 

I should have a second TV out on the deck, either for watching Brewers or whatever while we play, or in case someone wants to being a second SNES and another copy of Griffey. I'll provide some food and first few cases of beer, feel free to bring whatever you want. I usually have ample space for people to spend the night, but I'm getting my floors refinished in two bedrooms next week so there will be less options. Still, I have a spare twin bed in one room, futon in the basement, and couch in the living room if anyone needs/wants to stay. Or you can do like Radman did last time and just pass out on the living room floor. For those that don't know where I live, it's about 102nd and Greenfield Ave in West Allis. I'll PM you full details if you say you're interested.

 

I know Houlie is already in, hope a few others can make it too. This is essentially my last free weekend with the house to myself, starting July 3rd the GF moves in and the bachelor life comes to an end! At least I'm going out in style....

I had a nightmare last night that all my team rosters got erased. Woke up in a cold sweat.

 

Anyways, the weather for Friday is forecasted to be pretty crummy and this event is best conducted as an outdoor affair. As it gets closer we might need to cancel/postpone as necessary, or perhaps just decide to move it indoors.

There's a STRONG CHANCE we'll be moving this to Saturday. Weather looks awful tomorrow, great on Saturday.

 

EDIT: Game on for tonight. Sounds like some of you couldn't do tomorrow, so we'll hope for good weather the rest of the evening and I guess move things indoors if we must! 8:00-ish start.
