Escobar looks seriously lost at the plate right now. Is it me or do a seemingly large number of guys on our team swing at pitches high and out of the zone on a regular basis?

I don't mean to suggest that Bush is an exciting pick over Narv-dog. I'm just HATE when the manager of the team I root for starts talking nonsense.

Understood, and agreed. I guess I can sympathize though, to an extent, the same way I sympathize with the medieval doctors who attempted to cure diseases using all sorts of what we understand to be quackery. Lacking both the tools and knowledge to be effective, I guess they just had to try something.

Thanks for making it "a game," Casey. And Diego with the wily veteran baserunning - wow.

Edit: And Narvdog helps his own cause!

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

Well I never thought Narveson would have gotten through 5 after that 1st inning. Wish he could've avioded that huge 40 pitch inning.

Narveson is certainly keeping up his reputation of getting hammered in the 1st and then being lights out from then on.

Certainly can't expect to be a quality starting pitcher doing that. It is either 5 innings or 130 pitches to get deeper.

How about someone teach the guy about defensive substitution? Why does Macha have Edmonds in CF with a 4 run lead in the 8th inning?

Uh...because he's won a bajillion Gold Gloves.

The best part about Edmonds hitting is he is putting up that sub .800 OPS mostly against RHP(about 119 PA vs 25 PA). He had a good April and has been pretty bad ever since.

Fan is short for fanatic.

I blame Wang.

I thought it was funny that Axford doubled up the runner off of 2nd instead of going to 1st when the runner from first was almost at 2nd already.

So I just got in from work, and on the ride here I had the game on the radio. Axford walked somebody (Punto? maybe?) and the call from Provus: "Ken Macha is looking angrily at the umpire."

"Looking angrily." No no, Ken, don't get up. Don't say anything. Looking at him angrily, though, THAT will get your point across. Though I suppose I should be happy he didn't stare blankly at the umpire.

Its almost like Macha is just winging it. Why have Axford warm up in the 7th and then use him for a 2 inning save?

It sure looks like Macha was ready to give Hoffman the 9th inning again and then chickened out when Coffey got banged around.

My question would be....What had Axford done to lose the job?
