Every pair of tickets we've sold from our season packages this year to date has resulted in a Brewers loss.

My coworker is using our tickets tonight, and we are going tomorrow night. She favors the Twins and her husband the Brewers. Last year the Brewers won the game she attended and the Twins won the game I attended.

One of these two microtrends will be stopped tonight. I hope it's the first one.

Go Narv-dog - I challenge you to make the upcoming pitching decisions even more of a zim-zam.

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

Wasn't Dave Bush originally schedule for this game? I could swear I saw him listed as the starter when I looked either yesterday or Sunday.

I think I saw Bush listed as the starter on ESPN a few days ago. My best guess as to why he's getting skipped:

I don't remember seeing or hearing 'official' confirmation that Bush was going to have his turn in the rotation skipped, but that's more a indictment of the J-S staff than anything else.

Is it me or is Narvy tipping his pitch in that picture?

Macha is overthinking the Bush thing.

I'm not really a fan of skipping Bush's start, either, after the outing he put together against the Angels. What's the worst case scenario if you start Bush in this game? He pitches at about the same level Narveson does tonight and you don't tick anyone off in the process?

Macha gave some line about making sure everyone is put in a situation to succeed, and for whatever reason, it almost sounded like Yost when he was explaining the Bush/McClung home/away (or away/home, I forget who had what) platoon.

Dear Brewers, I don't feel all that well, yet I will be at Miller Park in the heat rooting you on. Please reward my fandom with a win. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

Macha probably feels justified in not starting Bush because he figures these three walks would have bebn three doubles with Bush on the mound. So we came out ahead already!

Bush had a single good start. He's been bad against the Twins. Macha is doing him a favor. Its as much as setting up LHers and RHers.

Well, when Davis comes back, it's pretty obvious who's going to be out of the rotation. If he keeps pitching like this, he might be out of Milwaukee.

I know it's a small sample for tonight, but Chris might be reducing the degree of zim-zam involved when Doug Davis returns next week. Yeesh.

Using team splits to determine your starting pitcher? Just great. If Macha would have just said that he wanted a lefty to face the Twins lefties, I guess I can understand that.

This Bush didn't pitch well against the Twins nonsense that Macha talks about was just as bad as when Yost used it. Hopefully Macha has a reasonable explanation and doesn't want to go into it. I wouldn't be surprised to see Bush sent packing when DD comes back.

I wish Gomez could hit his way out of a wet paper bag so we wouldn't be subjected to Edmonds in CF.

Fan is short for fanatic.

I blame Wang.

With the exception of picking the guy whose last name starts with G-a-l-l-a-r-d-o I don't know that ANY method of detemining the starter for tonight would have made much difference.

What I don't understand is how you trade for a guy who get's benched for a guy with a sub .800 OPS who can't play defense. What was the point in trading for him if you thought he was less valuable than that!?

I don't mean to suggest that Bush is an exciting pick over Narv-dog. I'm just HATE when the manager of the team I root for starts talking nonsense.
