well I usually don't get trashed at brewers game, so 4 shots of whiskey in my coke is more than enough. I could see them leaking after some use. I should have mine in about a week and i cant wait to test them out.

just checked the site, free overnight shipping would of been really cool, paid the same with the 7 dollar ground shipping though.

Having to sneak liquor in somewhere seems like it must be on the list of "do I have a problem?" or not.

I'm surprised the canteen is in the heel...that's where all the weight is, for gosh sakes. I assumed it was sewn into the strap holding the toe in place.

its more of a cool thing to have. Its not like i am going to go everywhere with 6 ounces of whiskey. The idea is orginal. My friends will be jealous.

Then it is time to admit you have a problem. The problem is, you're not drinking enough whiskey.

I heard about these awhile back, and I agree with Al that the flask is at a point on the sandals where most of the pressure of the body would come down on it. I might design it so that the flask would be around the arch of the foot.

I call it "being smart with your money."

I don't have these ones in particular (I looked at them a few weeks ago), but I do have the Reef sandals that have the bottle opener underneath. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/happy.gif

As for the weight, the heel is somewhat elevated, so it pushes the weight forward in your feet. When I wear them for a long time, sometimes the "thong" will cut me between my big toe and 2nd toe because the elevated heel pushes my weight forward. So weight on the flask is not an issue.

I don't see how those would even be necessary. They let you bring in stuff for games and they don't really check that closely. You could just as easily bring in your alcohol mixed half and half in a plastic bottle with soda and dilute it with more soda at the game.

Fan is short for fanatic.

I blame Wang.

Yeah, the only thing they check is purses/handbags. If you wore some cargo shorts, you could easily put a half pint in one of the front pockets and get in with zero hassle at all.

In many years of bringing in my own drinks to the game, i was only stopped once. i was told to drink my "coke" (about half and half jack and coke) or toss it. i reluctantly tossed it since i wanted to remember the game!

they did pick up on the practice of sneaking beer cans in pringles cans rather quickly though. it took me a couple trips in to realize why so many cans of pringles were sitting near the gates!

they came last night so i am wearing them to the game tonight. They need to be opened with an alan wrench. I understand not necessary, but its still a cool idea. Would come in handy for summerfest since they don't serve hard liquor on the grounds.
