Front page not working?

I noticed I couldn't get in with the brewerfan.net url. brewersfandemonium.yuku.com seemed to work, though.

Anyone else have the same issue?

Firefox 3.6.12 on a Mac. Hah, and now the homepage doesn't load for me either. I didn't clear my cache or history between my posts in this thread.

I usually access the message boards through the main page and have had trouble loading it for the last couple of weeks. Given that the main page hasn't been updated in a long time I'm just going to start going directly to Yuku. Are there plans to update the content on outside the message board and the Power 50 or is the site planning on focusing on those features for the time being?

Based on emails I've had with Brian this week, I'd definitely suggest coming straight to the forums for now. The links to the Power 50, Player Index, etc. do seem to be working from the links above the forums. But the home page just isn't accessible consistently at this time.

 

As for the long-term status of the home page, we've pretty much resigned to the fact that there will probably only be as many as five or so new "feature stories" gracing the page each year. Considering that we'll be sure to link to them on the forums once they've posted, you'll be fine coming directly to the forums instead. You won't miss new content.

We still believe that the Link Report, the Draft Forum, and the overall forum atmosphere here provide unique worthwhile opportunities for our visitors.

Certainly there are others out there who do wonderful things as well, and between hat tips and links, we often acknowledge their good work too. Brewer fans are indeed fortunate webwise.

I was just going to post something about how I have not been able to access the home page for the past month, so I'm happy to see this thread and that I'm not the only one. That is also how I normally get to the fan forum (now I just have a link in my favorites that takes me directly there). How can I access the player salary page? That is one of my favorite features on Brewerfan.net. There is no link to it at the top of the forums page and, as stated, I can not get to the home page.

If you click on any of the features above the forum (Power 50, Player Index, etc.) -- you'll then see the left-side sidebar all the team choices and such. Under the "Milwaukee Brewers" section, you'll find the Salaries page, the 40-man roster page (which includes option info), and more.

 

Please keep in mind that the salaries page is meant to represent those who have made big league appearances thus far. So you won't see Amaury Rivas, Dan Merklinger, and others yet. It's very unscientific. There are some arby year decisions based on possible Super 2 status that could change things. The minimum salary amounts might vary by a tiny margin.

 

In other words, it's a general snapshot, but represents a decent guage of future commitments on the larger numbers. If there's an egregious error, please bring it to our attention here, thanks.

Something I thought was weird: I can't access the home page directly or by going in through Google, but if I Google the Power 50 and click on the link, I can get to that page without a problem.
