I'm not very interested in this series, although I do expect it to be good baseball. The late postseason games just take too long and it is too frustrating to watch. I'll probably keep an eye on the score and watch the late innings if the games get interesting.

Agree with the excited crew for the same reasons and I like both teams' players, the style of play, and all the good pitching.

Aww, I'm jealous of fans whose teams are still playing. Listen to how loud the Giants fans are, and the game hasn't even started.

In the first inning tonight when Lincecum failed to make the throw to 3rd to help get out of jam (ended up getting a double play to get out of it anyways), it was fairly clear that he thought Renteria, who was running to cover 3rd, was the Texas runner advancing to 3rd. This was the only logical explaination. However, Tim McCarver could not figure this out.

Come on Rangers!!!! Need more runs!!!
They got more runs...just gave up too many more. Boy, that's a sloppy looking box score; but I'm still glad it's two infrequent WS participants.

I never liked the Giants because of Barry Bonds, but I think they have some of the best fans in baseball. Even in the down years they always drew large crowds. They even have a
to go with this postseason.

I'm cheering for the Giants, as much as I hate that franchise for supporting Bonds. The Rangers is one of the franchises the Brewers are better than (in terms of penants, WS appearances, and WS wins). Now we are tied. I don't want another team passing us.

Well, Robin19, your goal is all but halfway met.

Check out the meltdown from Derek Holland: 3 batters, 3 BB, 13 pitches, 1 for a strike, 0 outs recorded. That sounds almost Breweresque. And that's just one of the bottom-of-the-8th pitchers for Texas. Ai yi yi.

Guillermo Mota just came in to the game for the Giants. I don't know how that makes me feel.
Once I remembered (I think during the NLDS) that Mota is now a Giant, I realized with a degree of horror that he has now been in three consecutive postseasons. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/indifferent.gif

I'm rooting for the Giants but had the Rangers in 6, so I'm happy. SCHADENFREUDE!

SCHADENFREUDE!
You know, I don't know which silver lining I prefer: losing to the "eventual world champions" or seeing the team that broke your heart go down in flames. One could make a case for either.

What a great game last night! Colby Lewis was pitching very well, and when Feliz came in, he was making the hitters look foolish! I'm ready for 2 more games like that (Ranger wins) and then back to Frisco to win 1 of 2.

I was unable to see any of Game 3, but I still remember Colby Lewis getting a hit or two off Yo in June, so I'm not surprised he was their stopper, at least for last night.

Now that there cannot be a WS sweep this year, we'll definitely have November baseball.

Congrats Giants. Now announce a managerial hiring Melvin.
Yep. How many of us thought the same thing as soon as that game ended?

I would never have guess this, but I'm happy. Congrats Giants.

Did anyone else see that little old lady cheering in SanFran when Fox went to commercial? She must have been 80. Awesome.
