My guess is that this topic has already been exhausted due to Prince's situation, but Mitch Moreland looks more and more like Texas' long-term first baseman.

I know the assumption is that Mat Gamel fills in, whether he goes to 1B or McGehee shifts over. But a little depth couldn't hurt. Do the Brewers have anything to offer Texas for him?

When you look at his minor league and 2008 numbers, you think he's one of those guys that just HAS to explode at some point. I'm not entirely sure who gets traded for him, though, because their big need is starting pitching.

The other problem is, where does he play in 2011? Would he and Counsell then end up as your bench guys? AAA? I just don't see a need for him, although, depending on the health of Parra, that would be a potential trade, but I don't think DM is going to give up pitching. Need that depth!

Wow... C Davis, K Davis, and Kh Davis in one system? Could get confusing... http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif

"Rock, sometime, when the team is up against it, and the breaks are beating the boys, tell 'em to go out there with all they got and win just one for the Uecker. I don't know where I'll be then, Rock but I'll know about it; and I'll be happy."

"I think he's a good fielder too, isn't he?"

UZR doesn't think so, nor does DRS. He's not terrible at 1B (probably about league average), but he was an AWFUL 3B. Like Ryan Braun bad.
