4-3 in the last 7 and 2 of the 3 losses come from our staff 'ace'. I suppose this can be looked at as a good thing....shows that we can win when big ben isnt on the hill but it sure would be nice if sheets becomes dominant like he should be. If sheets can put up numbers anywhere near that 2.7 ERA from 2004, I think we'll be playoff bound.....lets just hope he can bounce back strong after 2 ugly starts. Again..ugly defense, ugly on the bases...prince getting picked off first was about the worst possible move he could have made..im angry and cant wait for tomorrow night

Generic vent that has nothing to do with the Brewers... Skip Bayless has to be the biggest moron on TV and thats saying an awful lot.

Getting picked off is not excusable at the best of times. Getting picked off of first when there's a runner on 2nd is just downright stupid.

Don't know what happened today, but just by the radio account, it didn't sound like the boys had their heads in the game today for a good amount of the time. I'm not a "rah rah" guy who likes (s)crappy hustlers, but I DO want the team to give 100% effort out on the field.

I was going to post a rant in the laughing at soriano? thread, but it seemed more like a vent so Im posting it here. Look, either you cheer for injuries or you don't. I hate it when people say I don't cheer for injuries, but...... and then they cheer for a freakin injury. Don't get me wrong, I suppose we all have our exceptions. If Sheffield breaks a leg or Bonds' leg falls off altogether, thats not an injury, that karma **** with you. I doubt Soriano or even the Cubs have done anything to deserve such harsh treatment. We often refer to Northsiders who visit our sacred Miller Park as classless. Lets try not to sink to their level.

Jose Capellan is no better than Greg Aquino.

It is not Ned's fault Matt Wise's arm will fall off if he pitches too much. It is his fault no one was up in the bullpen. That said, if Aquino does his job, which he should have, they shouldn't have needed to have other people up in the first place. Life isn't a video game where you can have a guy come in and have 2 guys up in-case that guy sucks. People's stamina doesn't refill that quickly once they start actively throwing.

With no one else warming in the pen with Aquino, there is no option but to leave him in there.

Some people are expecting pitchers to get loose with like 5 warmup pitches...

Right life isn't a video game. No matter how you press the buttons, Aquino isn't a good pitcher and Turnbow is. Using Aquino with the game on the line never makes sense.

Some people expect Yost to think ahead.

So then which one of Weeks, Hall, Prince or Hardy were you planning on double switching out of the game, end?

I have never been more angry with Yost. I thought I was mad at Ned last year with the De La Rosa situation. Aquino? Leaving him in, I can't even begin my frustration. Why was Aquino in in the first place. Why did Ned tighten the noose by leaving him out there. The guy pissed his pants so bad he couldn't even find the catchers glove on the most important pitch of the inning. I gave Ned a new lease this year. Somehow I feel Melvin is somewhere gritting his teeth, and that.

spelling, whatever be damned/

edited to say the team has to be P.O'd at Yost. How could they not be. He let them all down tonight.

ned yost sucks, he is the most worthless piece of crap that ever put a Brewer uniform on, he can't manage a game to save his life, he would rather talk racing with the players than baseball, it is too bad that he knows nothing about stats and knows nothing about any other team's player's strengths and weaknesses, the guy can't motivate his players to play on the road, he is just worthless. I mean, how can we expect to win with such a dumb manager, he is going to blow our chance at a winning record and the playoffs, it is a wonder how he ever got a job, he is the worst in game manager I've ever seen, what a terrible job by the Brewers for ever putting him at the helm...

I'm getting sick of people ripping on Hall, shut up, I'm not being biased either. He has been moved around and has never had a position to call his own and then they move him to a spot that he has never played before for the TEAM and never complained once during any of this, he is going to have errors, there will be growing pains. All of this and all Brewers fans can do is rip on the guy, he'll be fine...

I hear ya loud and clear, but it's always hard not to be critical after such a frustrating loss. If the Brewers win 9-1 tomorrow night and Hall has 2 errors, I'm sure there won't be too many people ripping on him. I trust that Bill Hall will improve in CF because it's only April 17, and he's a very good athlete.

The only person who let anyone down tonight was the guy bouncing 55 foot fastballs and throwing 3 feet wide of the catcher.

Aquino threw 13 pitches and the go ahead run crossed the plate. 18 pitches and 5 runs had scored. I know I wouldn't have predicted that--especially since he'd been doing a bit better lately.

Why was Aquino in in the first place? Why wasn't Wise up and Turnbow up? Why was Shouse taken out in the first place. Why did Yost not have the foresight to not have any pitchers up!!!!! Yost was awful, just admit and move on. I won't but you can.

NIce post interview Yost ...can't admit you sucked. He was available...he's always available..just wasn't available tonight...great logic.! A little bitter huh Ned that someone asked you a tough question!

Hall sucks at CF, it was a terrible idea, he looks lost and confused and stupid and embarassing. A joke. A laughing stock. Burglefickle.

The Brewers were "beyond" letting a pitcher like De La Rosa struggle and learn on the job, but we're all good with Hall looking like freakin' Scotty Smalls the first time he puts on a glove and takes the field in The Sandlot.

Hmm, "Hall" almost rhymes with "Smalls". Coincidence? "YOU'RE KILLING ME HALL!!!"
