2011-05-07 Brewers (Gallardo) at Cardinals (Lohse) - [Brewers win, 4-0: Yo 8 IP, 1 hit]

Posted

Jays broadcast just showed Verlander no-hitting the Brewers in 2007. That was another one of those "low points" like the Brewers are in now.
If I remember it right, the Brewers won the next two in that series and then went on a nice run, like 8 of 10, or so. Hopefully a similar bounce when this streak ends.
I believe Bill Hall hit a 2-run HR to take the lead in the 8th inning on like a 100 mph fastball from Joel Zumaya

You don't see mid at-bat pitching changes all that often.

Molina with the super-loud F-bomb on the STL feed. That's a shame. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

Not very classy

Betancourt over Hart? Really?

Hart looks completely lost at the plate and in 1 AB I don't expect anything out of him. He needs 4+ ABs in a day to get something going right now. Betancourt is not a bad option at all to bring in right now, IMO.

Wow, Lance. Horrible defense. We will take it, though.

Wow that was a pathetic attempt by that right fielder. Yay multiple runs in a game.

Oh my god that's Berkman that's why.

Oh my god ... we just plated three runs in a crucial 9th inning because of Kotsay, Gomez, and Yuni. Wow.

If Gomez runs that out all the way, does he pass Kotsay and/or try for an inside the park home run? lol.

Did Gomez think that was a HR? He stood in the box for a long time.
I think he thought it was going to be caught for the sac fly.

I was just happy to get a sac fly out of Gomez. Then add Berkman's tremendous defense and we got some insurance.

That's really the only spot where i like Betancourt swinging at the first pitch. Oh, and LOL at Gomez's sac fly trot! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif

I'm glad to see the Brewers can score some runs when Braun and Fielder go 0/7. Even average 3,4 hitters getting blanked would make it hard for an offense to score.

I wonder how Cardinals fans feel about Gomez's fist pump. They probably find it far more disgraceful than Yadier's mask throw and epic profanity.
