Your kidding right? Please tell me you don't think its a good idea for Ryan Braun to bunt in that or any other situation?

Gotta bunt here.
Not sure why this is blue, a bunt is a good play there

Pretty sure I would almost never have my 3 hitter lay a bunt down....down 2 runs.

7th big league appearance, and his first career save situation right now. Nice start for him so far
Inexperienced players aren't capable of contributing to a pennant run, he should be DFA'd immediately.

The Home Run Derby ruining swings is a myth. It especially doesn't hurt a guy like Prince, who has a natural, upper cut home run swing, anyway. He's just not playing well right now. It happens.

I shouldn't need to point this out, but please remember our forum etiquette;

Don't: Use the thread to insult players or team staff. There are all kinds of bad decisions in baseball, but players and staff are not bad people. A bad pitch does not make Jeff Suppan an idiot; a misplayed grounder does not mean that Prince Fielder is garbage.

Far to much of that stuff going on tonight. Please curb your language and the insulting names. Thank you.

Prince has the same swing in the derby that he does in games so I doubt that has anything to do with it.

He is just in a slump and looks like he needs a day off.

I'm not sure I remember seeing Prince this bad. He is a wreck at the plate right now.

His at bats tonight were the worst i can ever remember from him in a long time

I come into IGT's expecting to shake my head a lot, but the number of ridiculous statements is impressing me tonight.

And I just watched the replay of Prince's strikeout. It wasn't pathetic. Those were some really good pitches by a guy who is in the game to get lefties out. If Mitch Stetter came in and did that, which he has done plenty of times in the past, we'd all say how great he pitched.

A good throw and Lucroy had him.

I forgot Ryan Braun has never made an out in his career and he hits HRs about 60% of all PAs. Yes there are times when he should bunt, that wouldnt be an ideal time for him to bunt but certainly not a terrible play. In terms of scoring 2+ runs in the inning a bunt is about equal with hitting away, so with Braun you would lean to not bunting, but its still would not have been bad....and in some occasions it would have been the right decision...such as tonight.

I wouldnt do it either but it would not be terrible

Well this isn't looking good now, Rickie and the bottom of the order coming up with 4 runs to make up.
