He has an out clause, and rumors seem to be hinting that he'll opt out. Harold Reynolds, for whatever it's worth, thinks he'll sign with an NL team. Mark Attanasio loves the guy. If Fielder walks....... (I want you guys to keep the thread going from here)...

Harold Reynolds is an idiot. CC will opt out to sign a 6 year extension at $150 million with the Yankees. The Brewer shouldn't think about him at all.

I can dream, so 5 years $110 million. Greinke 5 years $85 million. Reyes or Furcal to play SS. Gamel at 1b. It would put payroll probably at $100-110 million, but if we landed CC we'd sell our 3 millionth ticket by mid-May.

That's how I feel. I really doubt there's any way the Yankees let him leave now.

Good for him if he leave the NYY and gets paid again. But if he goes the same place as Prince, and we go through that whole compensation thing we went through with Tex and CC, I will lose my mind.

I hope he does leave and resign with the Yankees for more money. That would more than likely mean the Yanks would look to trade rather than overspending on free agents to fill other rotation holes. My hope is to win a trade with them for Wolf or Marcum (hopefully Wolf would do).

I'm shocked. He's the best FA pitcher by far. Should be a nice bidding war between the Yanks and Sox.

I don't see the Rangers letting C.J. Wilson getting away at least it is going to cost the Yankees or the Red Sox. Wilson is going to get paid like a Halladay or Sabathia and I am not sure he is worth that. The Yankees and Red Sox are definitely going to have to over pay to get Wilson plus the Rangers have a lot of money to shell out with that TV deal they got.
