Haven't been able to watch the game. How does Wolf look?

He looks like Wolf. Nibbling at the corners. Lot of guys on base. Gets out of jams for the most part. He does like his catcher though, that is a big plus

Wolf is a gamer and a fighter and a hard-worker. Ned Yost would love him

Wolf is now up to 97 pitches with just 1 out in the 5th. This is almost for sure his last inning. A Kameron "Lurch" Loe sighting is imminent

RR has it in his mind, so it is a done deal until September.

What happens in September?

Maybe I should have said October????

9 hits so far for Wolf? Sheesh

almost all singles. and wolf had 7 K's....just seemed like every time the Cards made contact it was fouling off a pitch or a single that found a hole.

Did RR seriously just double-switch Gamel out with Ishikawa?

You gotta be kiddin' me

Yea very odd to me as well. Maybe someone else can explain the thinking?

Ishikawa gets to bat in the 9 spot and is a defensive upgrade to Gamel while also allowing Estrada to go more than 1 inning.

This was one of the reasons that Ishikawa making the team was bad in the eyes of many people.

It isn't a horrible move but I don't like it. Estrada better pitch more than one inning. Unless he is struggling of course.

Fan is short for fanatic.

I blame Wang.

And if we come back and have a tie game in the 7th, 8th or 9th inning, the #6 spot which is now the pitchers spot will be covered by Gomez, Izturis or Lucroy? Real nice

And as I write this Ishikawa has an at-bat that looked eerily similar to a pitcher's at-bat.... hmmmm

I didn't say it was a good move. I was just explaining the reasoning of the move. It isn't a totally illogical move to make. Allows you to not have to burn through your bullpen for the time being

well thankfully the cards end this pretty Early time for Easter Dinner anyway.

Happy Easter to all.

Hope not to see these Cards for a while they have the crew @

It's not like Gamel has looked any form of component today.

I can't see the game, as I'm listening on my IPhone, but the component I would consider Gamel to look like would be a record player. Steady and reliable.
