It actually was only 81 degrees here today. Nice change for once. I remember the last few years when Milwaukee has played here its been uncomfortably hot out.

That inning was kind of awesome actually. It started ugly, but Greinke really got filthy all of the sudden.

 

I kind of worried after he got the short end of the call against Kubel which was followed up by him getting a hit that ZG might end up having one of those innings like he would have last year when everybody was wondering about his mental makeup.

 

He got three Ks, all swinging, on a total of 10 pitches. Only 1 of those 9 strikes was fouled off.

Yeah, that was my point. Last year, for whatever reason, he would have blown up. He just powered through. No such luck this inning, but I still can't figure out how McDonald did what he did.

A couple more outings like this and the one earlier in Wrigley, and Greinke's price tag will be down to a reasonable level. Nobody can be dominant every time out, but not being able to limit the damage is not good.
