Dodgers fans didn't just cheer for Manny, they went completely nuts for him. I was at a game in 2010 and it was both totally absurd and oddly entertaining. I certainly wasn't disgusted or anything - they can cheer whoever they want. The amount of positive energy was uplifting.

Beating out Kemp for the MVP alone would've gotten him boos. The perception that he cheated to get it only makes things worse. I'd wager many of the people there don't know he's an LA guy.
