The book "Milwaukee Braves: Heroes and Heartbreak" by William Povletich is pretty good if he's into Braves history. runs sub $20 on Amazon.

Does he have a favorite player? Maybe an autographed baseball in a case would work in that price range, as long as it's not Braun of course. I've done that several times. Of course there's always Brewer clothing or plenty of other Brewer logo'd gear. How about Opening Day tix?

Taking him on a tour of the stadium and out for lunch would be cool.

Thanks guys. The book was perfect, as long as he hasn't read it. Just ordered it. He grew up on that team, so I think he'll LOVE that. I'll throw in another extra thing too.

My employer (Wisconsin Historical Society, whose Press published that book) appreciates your support. Seriously, though, I'd endorse it even had it been published elsewhere. There's a photo in it showing a guy heading into County Stadium in the early 1960s literally hoisting a case of Schlitz bottles on his shoulder. Even as a teetotaler I'm impressed by that.

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.
