I was a closet Keeling fan, I'm actually kind of sad to see him go.

Via Chris and the Rattlers --

C Brent Dean activated from Wisconsin’s Disabled List for today

C Clint Coulter placed on Wisconsin’s Disabled List retroactive to May 30

***

There has been no word on the nature or severity of Coulter's injury.

Via Tom Haudricourt:

1st round draft pick Clint Coulter went on TimberRattlers DL today with oblique strain that is not believed to be too serious.

Via the Sounds' media notes --

To backfill Scooter's spot at AAA, veteran middle infielder Ozzie Chavez gets bumped back up to Nashville from Huntsville.

(Mike Fiers won't be reporting to Nashville for a few days...)

That leaves the Stars currently one roster player short.

Not officially announced yet, but mentioned in the Huntsville broadcast tonight, Jimmy Nelson moving on up to Nashville. Well deserved. Nelson has been one of the top pitchers in the Southern League all season.

Makes sense. Narveson wouldn't be able to go after throwing 45 pitches last night, and based on his performance has a few kinks to work out. Thornburg started on 6/1 so he's had three days rest and could go multiple innings in relief.

i believe Thornburg has pitched better in his last few starts.

nice to have Hellweig and Nelson at Nashville, now like to see Bradley join Gangon and Jungeman

in Huntsville.

Not his last few starts -- only two of his last five starts have been decent to good. Glad for Tyler to see him get the call-up, and hopefully he can regain his form in the bigs.

I believe they plan on starting Thornburg not pitching him in long relief.......

or maybe they have no idea what they are going to do...

Adam McCalvy ‏@AdamMcCalvy 3m Details coming to the site, but Thornburg will go to the bullpen today & won't necessarily start Sat. Could be a 'bullpen game' instead.

My apologies to all for bothering to read JSOnline prior to coming here for news.... they are still reporting Estrada's next start as "unknown".

"Rock, sometime, when the team is up against it, and the breaks are beating the boys, tell 'em to go out there with all they got and win just one for the Uecker. I don't know where I'll be then, Rock but I'll know about it; and I'll be happy."
