Lineup

Looking forward to June...True or False. This is the best lineup in baseball:

1) Aoki

2) Segura

3) Braun

4) Ramirez

5) Hart

6) Lucroy

7) Weeks

8) Gomez

False. Definitely top 10 for me, maybe top 5.

Well they were number 3 last year, and Segura is definitely an upgrade over what they were throwing out there at SS most of last year.

Maybe not best in MLB, but I would say best offense in the NL when at full strength.

They were #3 in runs. 8th in OPS+, which adjusts for ballparks.

Fwiw the offenses I consider them to not be clearly better than, talent-wise, are

ATL

CIN

COL

DET

LAA

STL (this one I might be talked out of)

And Carlos Gomez, his first 37 PA's got on base 6 times and didn't walk once. Why wasn't anyone calling for Logan Schafer?

We have low expectations for Carlos Gomez, compared to Rickie Weeks.

The Brewers offense is going to be tops in the NL this season, and perhaps tops in MLB. When Ramirez and Hart come back look out!

I just really hope RR keeps Segura in the 2 hole when Ramirez comes back and when Hart comes back too. I think leaving Segura there and having Weeks bat 6th (or 7th after Lucroy) really solidifies our lineup and might take a lot of pressure off of Weeks

Going forward, no way Segura projects to be better than Weeks at this point. Happy to throw down some money to a good cause to whomever wants to put their money where their mouth is. $50 to the charity of your choice.

It's easy to be 100% sure when you are anonymously sharing your opinion but everyone shuts up when they have some actual skin in the game. Someone, prove me wrong :) Weeks won a charity $50 last year, so I have a good streak going.

$60 last year. I gave you odds after you called me out on using hyperbole.

Segura is a much better hitter than Weeks at this point, so I will gladly bet you on the above though. How about $50, even up, whoever has a higher OPS by the end of the year. 350 AB min. I have Segura, you have Weeks.

I will take that bet as well. Put me down for $50.00 on Segura should he stay in the 2 hole.
