Brian said Brauny was at the plate for seven minutes.

How many pitches did Braun see? 10? He was taking almost 45 seconds per pitch. Braun isn't innocent either, he steps out after every pitch. In my opinion, the batter shouldn't be allowed to step out after a ball.

I agree. Also, the past couple of years seems like everyone is doing some mild variant of the nomar batting gloves velcro game inbetween every pitch. Braun does it all the time. Just stay in the box.
"Two three the count with nobody on, he hit a high fly into the stands. Rounding third he was heading for home, it was a brown eyed handsome man. That won the game, he was a brown eyed handsome man."

Peralta needs to settle down. He's not pitching bad. But he needs to start pitching to contact instead of the strikeout. We need a deep game. I really don't want our pen taxed early on

first pitch swinging for Gomez

My gut was 'why are you sending him???' but it was a well hit ball. Tough call there but I'd err on the side of caution and hold him at 3rd.

Why send one of the slowest runners on the team there? You had 4 straight hard hit balls off of him, don't end the inning that way. The ball beat him by a mile...gotta be aggressive but that just seemed dumb. Ramirez may have slipped ever so slightly but it wouldn't have matter. Didn't even take a good throw to get him.

Pretty nice play by the catcher there, I have no idea how that ball stayed in his glove.
