CM Punk; WWE Has Me Hooked Again (2013 Official Pro Wrestling Thread)

Just saw this tweet, and it's 100% dead on.

If @WWE made people care about titles the way they care about Undertaker's streak then the shows would be way better. Just saying.

That's usually a factor in why Taker's matches are the most enjoyable every year. Meaning needs to be brought back to all of the titles. Will it happen? Probably not. But it should.

I couldn't agree more. The fact that only 3 titles were defended on the actual PPV last night was a crime. Cesaro has been great this whole year, and he didn't even do anything. I know Barrett vs. Miz didn't have a HUGE build to it. However, I'm sure they could of found 10 to 15 minutes in there somewhere to put that match. Rock/Cena didn't need that long of a match.

How is the WWE expecting to get some of these stars "over" if they don't use them on the biggest show of the year to show there in ring talent? Granted Fandango, Big E and The Shield all got on the show. No Cody Rhodes, Sandow, Barrett, Cesaro, Miz, etc. Just a shame.

However, I do give Mania at least a 4.5 out of 10. Not a top 10 Mania by far, but it is in the bottom 10. I enjoyed HHH/Lesnar, Taker/Punk, Tag Titles Match and Six Man Tag. Rock/Cena was too slow paced as if they were eating up time. Henry/Ryback made some sense for Henry going over, maybe to feud over the WWE or World Title. Fandango/Jericho wasn't the greatest match to watch. P.Diddy thanks for wasting about 15 minutes of time.

There is definite truth to that but the Taker match is once a year. WWE is a corporation and has to answer to stockholders on a regular basis, they are trying to get good ratings every week on RAW/Smackdown and have to get people to buy their PPV every month. On top of that they are trying to start their own network. I just don't think they will ever have the patience to bring meaning back or only having one champion in the company.

Anyone else hear about the whole Rock injury debacle tonight? Apparently he went home because has some injury, and the nixed the entire opening segment to Raw. It was supposed to be a whole setup between Rock and Brock. They had to scramble to re-write the show. Interesting news. Too bad too, because I would've liked to have seen what they were gonna do.

Just unreal crowd tonight. Ryback turning heel is dumb and they let WWE know about it.

Cena was funny with the "maybe a heel turn?" dance move. But the MVP of the night goes to the crowd, just surreal.

I'm not sure Ryback is heel. He just wants the title, and made that clear by taking out Cena. The crowd seemed to be behind him.

That is what I thought at first as well, but everything I have read and by Cole's reaction is that he is now a heel. And the crowd was behind him because he just took out Cena.

Really enjoyed WrestleMania and Raw. Raw was for sure better overall, but I thought the top three matches on Mania especially Punk/Taker (match of the year candidate) all delivered. The Shield match to open the show was also awesome.

As for Raw, wow. What an awesome show for all marks. Loved it.

I DVR'ed RAW last night and haven't watched it yet, but I thought the Miami crowd the RAW after Wrestlemania last year was awesome. I'm really excited to watch Raw tonight to see how the crowd was last night.

It was far better. Best crowd I've seen at any WWE event in a long time.

Yeah, The crowd was the best since probably the attitude ERA. I mean, humming the Fandango theme song was just crazy.

I legit think the only one who hated the crowd last night was Randy Orton.

I watched it last night. That crowd was hilarious. Their pop for Ziggler was awesome. But I'm a huge Ziggler fan anyways.

I downloaded the Fandango song from Zedge and it is now my ringtone. However, the only negative, if you want to call it that, is that when people call I'll probably refuse to answer because I'll be too busy singing and dancing. "Da da...da da da da dada dadada..."

Haha, I heard that song is climbing up iTunes charts in a lot of different countries since Raw. So funny.

Looks like Punk is going to take some much deserved time off, my guess is he is off TV until at least June and then comes back to start a fresh program going toward Summerslam.

I just can't get over how WWE continues to job their champions in non-title matches. It is crazy, I don't know how they think that helps anyone. Also, FREE Antonio Cesaro!

Dolph Ziggler wins the title and nothing changes. He loses in his first match as champ on Raw.

At least they took the title off of Cesaro. I can't remember the last time he won a match. Maybe he will start winning now that he is not champion. Titles are meaningless in the WWE.

I don't understand booking Champions to lose non-title matches. It's been happening a lot lately. What it does is make it seem less important or memorable when someone beats them for the title. When Kofi won the title last night, it didn't seem like it mattered at all, because all Cesaro has been doing lately is jobbing. Not that the US Title has meant much anyway, but it would if they booked things better. Same goes for the IC and WHC. Booking Ziggler to lose a non-title match is just stupid. Swagger didn't need to pin Ziggler either.

I remember when the IC title actually meant something. That and the US and hell, basically every championship doesn't mean anything now. I don't get it.
