Fantasy Baseball Draft At A Bar or Restaurant?

Anyone ever hold their leagues fantasy baseball draft at a bar or restaurant around the Milwaukee area? Where? How much? Was it a good experience?

Asking because my league might do a live in person draft for the first time. Looking for some ideas. Thanks!

I know a lot of places run things for fantasy football. Never done baseball. Had a football draft at Karma on the east side awhile back. It was alright. Nothing special. They set us up downstairs on a day when no one would be there.

I imagine there's all kinds of places you could do it. I would just find a good local bar that has a back room or something and call and ask if you can use it on a specific date. Probably want to avoid really busy times like a Saturday night or something.

I've never gotten to do a baseball draft in person, though. It's always been online, due to disparity of locales of the people participating.

A few years ago, we did our fantasy draft at Friday's Front Row on the porch. What better atmosphere than that? IIRC, we did a weekday late afternoon/early evening. I think we took up 4 tables and Friday's didn't have a problem with it. No charge, no food/drink minimums, but I'm sure we spent $150 for 12 guys.

Anyone have any good recommendations in the area for a football draft?? I know some bars run promotions for draft parties and such.

We normally do it at home but a few guys suggested doing it elsewhere. Thoughts?

Something to keep in mind when it comes to going to a bar/restaurant...noise. One of my leagues always drafts at a restaurant or a bar. The last two years has been at a Buffalo Wild Wing's and the year before at some dive bar and at both places, you couldn't hear a thing. Try to find some place that has a private room and free wifi.

I'd honestly rather do it at home. Some of the guys essentially want to do an online draft at the bar...bring our laptops and whatnot and just draft at the bar. I hadn't thought about noise. I'll have to think about it.

I was told BW3's used to do some cool promos for drafts but it doesn't appear that they do all that much any more. Not many places do I guess unless i'm missing some...anyone?

BW3's gave us a draft board and set up tables for us. They may have had given us some sort of appetizer specials, but nothing much else. The best place was a bar that had a basement room that we rented, but it closed. I much rather do it at a house. Get some beer, make some snacks, you get a strong internet connection, and you can hear everything. However, depending on size of the league, space may be difficult at a house.
