Man he had 2 great pitches to hit and missed them both, then just went ahead and hacked at the 3rd pitch for good measure. Must be a hole in his bat.

To be fair, Melancon is very good. But yeah, looked like Davis was trying a little too hard there.

He's on 3rd. The only way he doesn't score is if he trips. No excuse whatsoever for failing to score. I don't care if you're a rookie. This is something that they teach you in little league. Can't believe the moron is in the majors and he can't judge fly balls properly.

I think the problem was it was more of a line drive than a fly ball, so looked like it was going to be a hit and gave him less time to react (the crowd and announcers reacted like it was going to be a hit too). Still a mistake but not sure it makes Davis a "moron"...

Maybe not a moron, but it was definitely a dumb mistake.

He also had his eyes closed on the 3rd swing which would seem to make hitting the ball decidedly more difficult.

Not just “at Night” anymore.

We have done a lot of things wrong tonight, but still have a chance to pull this one out...

Man, you guys are tough on Davis...

2 little league mental mistakes, not tagging up and swinging at a pitch at your eyes with the biggest swing you have on an 0-2 count
