Good job, Herrera. Only took 1 inning for your inexperience to show; just really happy that he's on the MLB roster.

I'd blame this more on Melvin for having a utility infielder being your only backup outfielder on your 25 man roster.

Absolutely in agreement. We know how much Melvin likes his middle infielders.

OK, Scooter tee'ed off on that one, and did anyone else hear that fan heckling Braun during Scooter's at-bat?

Deep breaths... Herrera made a bad decision. That's more inexperience than ability. Willy could still end up with a quality start, he's been good enough this year to be allowed a little longer leash before I dive head first off the bandwagon.

Butterfly effect: I wrote-in Scooter on the All-Star ballot in Atlanta and a minute later he hits a home run in Arizona.

I would prefer to have Schafer on the team than Herrera. Schafer is a good outfielder and I like good defense. Great job RJG. Keep the hater's hatin. .298 AVG / .335 OBP / .437 SLG / .772 OPS

His career has 133 games with 457 AB - .310 AVG / .345 OBP / .458 / .802 OPS

When does "small sample" no longer apply?

there's nobody out. Don't have to run until you know if it's going to fall. If that ball falls, you score even if you're standing on 2nd.

This team sucks at baserunning.

The stupid baseball the Brewers are playing is really irritating. Just bad, bad baserunning. We've also crushed two balls in this game that turned into DP's. That's really annoying.

You think that if you were going to give Gomez a day off you'd do it BEFORE you send Schafer down to the minors.

Gomez has a sore hamstring...they didn't just decide to give him a day off

Both of these teams are squaring the ball up. Not sure I can remember a game where both teams hit the ball this hard this consistently.

Going back to the 7th inning yesterday, that's 4 balls just absolutely smoked by the Brewers that have turned into double plays. That's pretty frustrating. Hopefully Peralta can get through one more inning, pitch count around 90 already.
