Get a lead and almost immediately give up a soft one then take 2 really Stupid penalties later in the period.

Scarfone hasn't been terrible but he certainly hasn't been great either.

I’d imagine Scarfone has been feeling the pressure lately which probably doesn’t help either

Last year they were one more from being national championship contenders this year they are short 5

This US Canada game is just awesome.  Three fights to begin and a lot of hard hits.  This is a great game for an exhibition game.

They play hard but there's just no natural goal scorers and losing Laatch for the year just decimated the defense.

There's just far too many guys on this team that have zero ability to put the puck in the net.

I really hope they can find some goal scorers from the NIL.

The hockey landscape is changing again next year with the addition of CHL players. Along with the portal there is certainly an opportunity to change the makeup of the team pretty drastically from year to year. Hopefully Hastings can learn something from the way Greg Gard has used the portal to build a competitive team quickly

Simply don't have the skaters to be four on four or three on three.

Why wasn't that check by OSU into the boards that led to the "offsetting penalties" at the end of the game called to begin with?  Also, why wasn't it a double major or a 5-minute for boarding?  Uggh.

This Badger team is really frustrating.  First losing season in Hastings career.  I did see he said they haven't gotten enough out of goal tending this year.  I saw a stat that was staggering.  During the 6 game skid their goalies have like a 70% save percentage in the 3rd period while their opponents is like 92% or something.  To go a step further, this team seemingly out shoots everybody.

The problem is a lot of them are not good scoring chances and the chances that are good are usually guys that couldn't hit the net if there was a might goalie leftover from intermission. 

Seems like you either have it or you don't when it comes high end scorers.

The table was set for this year when Lucious, Whitelaw, and Stang left.

I've been really impressed with the Four Nations. Kind of a model for All-Start breaks right now. Big chunk of time off, meaningful competition.

Hockey has some things that set it up well for that kind of thing (it's probably not repeatable in baseball, but removing the ASB and creating an in-season, cup-style competition is doable), but I feel like other sports could learn something.

I think I've seen one win and that was an overtime against lindenwood.

I get to watch 2 ugly losses in the same building on the same day.
