Just preparing for another first round Wild exit. Le sigh. If they trot out Fleury again…I’ll hit a pillow and say ‘darn!’.

As a Wild fan...I hate these playoffs.  The NHL needs to get rid of this stupid format.  0 reason the Wild and Blues should be matched in round 1.  The 2nd best record in the conference plays the 4th best and then...hey, if you win you get the Avs who finished off a sweep and get a nice rest. Cool.  Meanwhile the 5 plays the 6 and the winner gets the 3rd best record in the conference.

It’s really absurd. Agreed. And, as Wild fans, what stinks the most is it sets up up for more Playoff disappointment. This being said, the disappearance of Fiala and the over-investment in Fleury are really tearing their heads. St. louis is just a tough matchup for the shifts with the smaller back line as well. I am prepared for the inevitable loss in St. Louis. It was a miracle they took one there to begin with.

The Blues are a tough matchup for the Wild for sure.  Would have been nice to see the Blues get the 4 and the Wild get the 3...like it should have been.

Fiala has been a disappointment - agreed.  The more surprising piece about Fleury is that they didn't even play him much down the stretch.  I feel like I saw more Talbot that him.

I know that there are game 6s tonight, but looking ahead, three game 7s are coming up tomorrow.  In my mind, the most compelling matchup is the Bolts vs. the Leafs.  Will the dream end for a three-peat for TB, or will the misery of not winning a playoff series since 2004 (and the Cup since 1967) continue for TOR?  I'm not a fan of either team, so I say, "Get the popcorn ready!" ?

I agree. This is the one matchup I’ve been paying attention to for those exact same reasons. Heck of a game last night. The Stanley Cup playoffs are easily the most exciting playoffs in sports.

The Flames vs. Oilers series certainly has started out as a barnburner last night.  A 9-6 victory by Calgary with quite a bit of extra-curricular stuff.  This looks like must-see TV.

Caught about half the game last night. What a wild hockey game. Clearly the goalies were rattled by the pressure of the series. It will be interesting to see if they settle down in game 2.

The Flames are a better team, but McDavid is far and away the best player on the ice. And that's saying something because Johnny Gaudreau is pretty darn good. When it was 1 on 1 the Flames basically just tackled McDavid and drew a penalty. It could have been a 10-9 score last night if Edmonton could have gotten comfortable on the power play.

Calgary should win the series, but the fact that McDavid might single handedly prevent that, as he did vs. LA in round 1, makes it fascinating to watch.

I cannot stress how annoyed I am by Tampa.

The battle of 'Berta is a fun one though!  The Canes and Rangers series has also been awesome.  Pretty sure everyone is just playing to lose to the Avs, but that's why they play the game!

Don't count the Lightning out just yet. I wouldn't be surprised if this series goes seven games.

Possibly. If so, itll be because Colorados goalies are...meh. I said Avs in 6 to my buddy, but I think it might be Avs in 5.

Badgers are off to a pretty ugly 0-3 start.

Hopefully it gets to 10 or so and Mac will have no choice but to give Granato the Chryst treatment.
