I don't even know about disappointed. Disappointed to be falling out of it, yes, but also feeling like expecting this roster to not run out of gas would have been unreasonable. I was hopeful that we'd sprint to the finish but in an "anything can happen in baseball" way rather than a 2011 "this team has the horses" way.

 

It just never felt like this team was built to go on a big winning streak. Offense too boom or bust, and if you do win four or five in a row, you start to run out of dependable relievers really quickly. Maybe they pull out these last four and hang with it. If so, I'll be thrilled. If not, just trying to enjoy another half week of baseball.

Looked like he broke his foot. If that's it, it was a great comeback year for Thames, sad to see it end that way.

The view on MLB network seems to be more of the ankle than foot. Either way, I suspect something broke in there...
