Dan Jennings

Apparently Dan Jennings has not made the Rays roster. He seems to me to be a very viable option to replace Logan and Drake. He was solid in relief for the White Sox and Rays last year and tougher on lefties than Drake.

Yes definitely agree! I hope we add him... Perfect fit until Logan comes back.

 

We've added Hughes and Torres the last 2 years after other teams cuts... We'll see!

Assuming the OP's intention is replacing Logan until he's off the DL (which is potentially its own assumption, but that's a whole different topic). Since he just signed as a FA, he and his contract most likely are the Brewers' property for the year.

The problem with using Jennings as a replacement for Logan or Drake is that he's just not really a LOOGY type lefty.

 

I wouldn't have a problem with it if they wanted to try him and go with him over Drake, but I could understand if they aren't interested. He's been effective enough but his FIP trends are worrisome and he really struggles with control at times.

Career-wise you have a point. But in 2017 he was better vs. LHP than Drake: Jennings: .213/.323/.306 Drake: .247/.308/.377. So either he's developing more effective ways to get lefties out or it was a statistical anomaly.
