I kind of reflexively want to blame St. Louis.

In my head, whenever I blame or "blame" St. Louis, I still picture TLR at the wheel of the conspiracy.

I think you mean asleep at the wheel of the conspiracy.

Remember what Yoda said:

"Cubs lead to Cardinals. Cardinals lead to dislike. Dislike leads to hate. Hate leads to constipation."

Thanks for getting the site back up!

Whenever it goes down like that, I always assume there's been some blockbuster trade or signing, and all the traffic brought the board down, haha

For some reason the site works fine for me using Safari, but when I try to access it in Chrome, I get a "Forbidden You don't have permission to access / on this server. Server unable to read htaccess file, denying access to be safe" Just starting happening today.

Same on my end. Error on my CPU, fine on my phone.

I use Chrome on my phone too, so it doesn't work there. I assume it is some type of update that doesn't jive, but still sucks for those of us Mac users that hate Safari and don't want to screw around with Firefox.

Me, too. Phone is fine. Computer gives me the forbidden error. I thought maybe clearing my cookies would do the trick but, alas, I was still defeated.

The company hosting our site moved to a new server over the weekend, there was to be a brief planned down time.

However, it had to propagate throughout the web somehow, so it was odd, you could reach it perhaps via your mobile device for a while (that was impacted as well for a time), but not your home network.

It seems to be available now across all devices and platforms and browsers, let us know if otherwise.

I still do not have access through safari on my mobile device. Strangely, if I switch to private mode on safari, I can access Brewerfan.

Yup, I now get an HTTP Test Page powered by cwp

Edit: nevermind, I got it to work. I had to change my bookmark to have the /index.php included in the address

Actually the problem still exists.

I changed my bookmark to reflect the /index.php as I stated above.

But I have also noticed that if I click the "Mark Topics Read" button, it does not send me to the forum home page, but instead sends me to that HTTP Test page powered by CWP.

Kinda aggravating.

It does not, however, appear to be happening on other browsers. So far, only on Firefox. I wonder if there is something else going on in the background that I am unaware of.
