Metal is the only legitimate form of music these days.  btw... I Love Mongolian metal.

There have been some really bad metal bands lately.

Tyler Childers is a really good country singer and his music isn’t really your typical or pop-country that is played on the radio.

Went to a Tyler Childers concert last week it was awesome but I really liked Charlie Crockett who opened for him.

Kind of reminds me of the old country music from the 1950-60's era.  Almost like some rockabilly a bit with some of his songs.

Since the forum was acting weird.  I was able to catch Tyler Childers in concert and that was a really good concert.  Also check out Charley Crockett.

I was able to see Depeche Mode on their recent tour in the U.S.  I have to say there are a couple good tracks on their new album Memento Mori. They also still put on a great show despite being down to two original members.

U2 dropped a new single, Atomic City, for the opening of the new Sphere venue in their limited "residency" in Las Vegas.  I went in early October and it was a very good show that featured many songs from the Achtung Baby album.  They also hinted at working on a new album and potential tour in the next year or two.

Not exactly new music as she's been around for decades, most of it in Chicago, but think she's one of the most unheralded great guitar players there is.

There needs to be a King Thames version of the bible.

I am loving the new Charley Crockett album $10 Cowboy.  I think I like $10 Cowboy and Midnight Cowboy the best but I also like Good At Losing, Solitary Road and Hard Luck & Circumstances.  You can tell he has put a lot of himself into the lyrics.

Any Americana/singer/songwriter fans should check out Andrew Duhon.  He's been around down south for a while, he's from New Orleans.  He just played at the NOLA Jazz and Heritage Fest.  I saw him again last night in Baton Rouge.  He is about to release another record later this year and playing songs off it now live.  It appears his career might be finally taking off with larger crowds recently. Reminds me of the Avett Bros, Lyle Lovett, etc.  He credits Bob Dylan as his most significant musical influence- very talented band and called the Andrew Duhon Quartet now.

I've been debating mentioning this here since I rarely see any metal posts, but the new and last Megadeth album is just phenomenal!

Coming from someone who has always been kind of meh on Megdeth too!  They have had some good stuff over the years, but their catalog in general doesn't usually get me too excited.

THIS album however, is just awesome!!!  Been playing it in my car for the last month non-stop.  I simply can't quit playing it!

The final track on the album, "The Last Note", is a nearly perfect swan song. A touching farewell from Dave.

Trying to piece together conversations ... Trying to find out where to lay the blame"
