Centerfield is probably the single biggest hole we need to fill. Cain is still valuable as a defensive replacement and base runner but really nothing more.

We really need 3 new starting outfielders.

Taylor needs to be given a shot at the everyday CF job. Cain is obviously far better defensively but as long as he is hitting like a pitcher he offers the team nothing.

Gritty vets can suck for decades and CC will keep starting them, young players have 20 PAs to prove they can hit (resets every year until they become a Gritty Vet).

Don't wanna rain on the offense bashing parade, but Adrian Houser is a pretty good "worst" starting pitcher....

For sure. Would be a good 3 for most teams.

The pitching staff is great and thats why its so frustrating that we did nothing to improve the offense. Burnes, Woodruff, and Hader will be gone in a few years so now is the window to provide the staff with some bats.

I agree. We have a much improved farm system from the last couple of years, now is the time to use it. Although, I believe they will look to extend at least one of those three guys, probably Burnes. Woodruff can be traded in the offseason for some offense as he is slightly older than the others.

Gee I wonder why the Cardinals let Wong go so easily.  Could it be his horrendous record in the postseason since 2014 or the fact he really can suck for weeks at a time?

This team is not fun to root for. Give me back all offense, no pitching. At least it was enjoyable to watch.

I kind of feel the same way. It’s not an enjoyable display of baseball.

I'm sure the shortened spring training has something to do with how horrible the team is playing.  It's not like every team had the same experience.  No, just the Brewers had a short spring training.  Yeah that's it.

The bats will surely heat up once the weather improves.
