Those of us who are old enough to have seen it when it first came out will never forget our reaction to the “I am your father” moment.  Not to mention first learning who Yoda was and the other classic moments in that movie.

That was an era when spoilers didn't really exist. I hadn't been born yet when Empire came out, but I remember watching the movies for the first time when I was 10 (roughly 10 years after Empire was released), and being completely blown away by that moment. Like mouth agape speechless.
