Another Yeison Perez double (9th of the year). Another Yeison Perez triple (2nd). It’s now officially ‘ridiculous’. OF Remington Batista is also getting in on the fun: 3-for-3 (2 R, 1 3B).

RHP Jeral Vizcaino is continuing his red hot July having completed four innings of 3 H, 1 BB, 3 K, 1 R (unearned) ball. DSL Brewers 2 lead the DSL Phillies White 6-1 in the fifth inning.

It would appear the new OF 1-2 tandem of Hendry Mendez and Eduarqui Fernandez is a new thing. Very cool. RHP Stiven Cruz takes the hill looking to rebound from his roughest start in some time his last time out. Let's go Mudcats!

The T-Rats have to end the losing streak, right?!? RIGHT?!? Whewwwwww. They send out up-and-coming RHP Israel Puello to try and stop the madness. Jackson Chourio gets his third consecutive start in CF  and we see familiar faces from this series up and down the lineup. Let's get it young men!

Can LHP Nick Bennett stack dominant outings? That's my main question. He's been really good of late BUT he's been really good every other outing. I'm hoping he shuts it down tonight and starts really stacking successes. We see, just as I surmised watching last night's contest: Joey Wiemer is back on the shelf. This could be awhile, folks. He re-injured the hand we've never really gotten a distinct diagnosis on. I'm starting to wonder...I'm starting to 'worry'. Let's hope he gets well!

RHP Jason Alexander returns to the Nashville Sounds mound! It's been too long for the Triple-A Dominancer. SS Brice Turang takes the lead-off spot again looking to keep up a scorching hot July. Keston Hiura is back in LF and, a night after Jakson Reetz rips a triple and a homer he's back on the proverbial shelf. Boooooooo! LOL.

The Brice Turang unofficial 'July OPS Party' continues: he leads off the first inning with a double (his 16th of the season). He is en fuego

Mark my words. By next week, he will either be on the Brewers' active roster or in another organization altogether.

The only reason I’m not 100% in agreement is because of the number of guys on the 60 day DL who will be ready for the 40 man right after the deadline. (Topa, Cousins, Freddy).

hopefully Stearns finds a way to get a hot hitter to the show.

LHP Nick Bennett with his second fantastic outing in a row. He's completed six innings, 5 hits, 3 walks, 8 k's. The only blemish a solo shot. This is what we're looking for. If I'm not mistaken that's now  3 of 4 starts in July that have been really good. Maybe he's turning a corner.

I’m right there with you as I don’t think he has much more to prove in the minors but I just don’t see any room for him on the roster unless they plan on playing him in CF. Unless he’s traded, he’ll more than likely be our starting 2B to begin 2023.

Just 3 hits for Carolina in their 5-1 loss. This is what we feared for the Low-A squad with the promotion of Chourio.

But at least Brannon Jordan and Karlos Morales both returned to action for the first time since July 3rd and July 4th, respectively.

RHP Israel Puello is having a reversion after his first three dominant outings - this is two starts consecutive where's he's struggled. Quite a few walks given up tonight and 5 runs. T-Rats trail 5-2 late and are staring at 10 losses in a row. Wooof.

The ACL Brewers Gold were rained out.

We'll have to pay attention to the ACL Brewers Blue. OF Jace Avina was plunked to begin his evening - ouch! And our favorite two-way prospect, Quinton Low, is batting clean-up. 19-year-old RHP, Jared Albir, has k'd 5 through 2 innings.

Me as well, @damuelle. It's most likely what it is. But, I'm grateful for their recent winning streak. These young men have a lot of fight in them. Jeison Pena also gave us another scoreless frame.

INF Daniel Guillarte is really starting to catch my eye for the Brewers Gold. We might have something here. He's really keeping a nice k:bb ratio (26:14, respectively). Decent average. Decent OPS. 7 errors between 2B, SS, and 3B isn't wonderful but it also isn't turrible. We'll have to monitor this further.

Gonna have to promote Mitchell to AAA alongside Frelick. Sorry Biloxi fans. Enjoy these super prospects while you can!

Tristen Lutz says "Hold my beer, Sir!" LOL. What an 8th inning breakout. Let's get Cam Robinson in there and steal another victory from these crusty Biscuits!

We have an Oppo Laser sighting:

My goodness did Mitchell crush that ball to dead Center. Glorious nectar! 102 off the bat, 413 feet it would appear via Statcast.

You'll notice the intentional step on 3B in this home run trot. The umps took a Shuckers run off the board in the bottom of the sixth when Lutz ripped a double to the gap and the umps ruled Mitchell didn't touch 3B. LOL. I just went back and watched the replay. He definitely did NOT miss 3B. What a ridiculous call. Umpires gonna umpire.

I feel like we almost have to trade from our lower level infield surplus. Not sure how we’ll find enough playing time next year - Jadher Areinamo, Daniel Guilarte, Gregory Barrios, Jheremy Vargas, Alexander Perez, Jose Caballero, Eric Brown, Robert Moore, Dylan O’Rae, Ben Metzinger…

Agreed. It's a really really good 'problem' to have.

Who shuts it down other than RHP Nash Walters. Man, has he been fantastic since June 9th. Shutdown. No runs since that date. That's 17 innings scoreless over 15 appearances. 2 k's tonight. 0 H. 0 BB. Shuts them down. Shuckers win 6-1.

Good to see that Wiemer’s healthy enough to enter and play left field in the 9th inning. Now don’t tell me that Lutz (who Wiemer replaced, following Lutz’ 9th inning homer) has any injury issue.
